  • Comply with the requirements of environmental legislation and approved codes of practice and where possible exceed them.

  • Assess the environmental impact of all historic, current and likely future operations. Review the environmental impact of all our activities, and endeavour to reduce our overall environmental impact and prevent pollution.

  • Continuously seek to improve environmental performance by reviewing suppliers and our own environmental impact.

  • Reduce pollution, emissions and waste.

  • Reduce the use of energy and supplies.

  • Raise awareness, encourage participation and train employees / drivers and stakeholders in environmental matters.

  • Expect similar environmental standards from all suppliers and contractors.

  • Assist where practical our customers to use products and services in an environmentally sensitive way.

  • Liaise with the local community and policy makers as to how to develop and sustain environmental best practice.

POLICY IN PRACTICE

Prestige is fully aware that the nature of our business will have an impact on the environment. We are committed to reducing this impact and to eventually become carbon neutral. Prestige are currently investing in electric vehicles and we added 2 fast charges to our premises in 2019 to help with the infrastructure of our business. We currently have 10 fully electric cars and Vans, 4 plug in hybrid vehicles and 10 hybrid vehicles on our fleet. When our existing vehicles come up for renewal, we are changing them to electric or plug-in hybrids. We are constantly monitoring the marketplace, as manufacturers play catch up to the electrification of our industry. We already have a large fleet of hybrid parcel vans under 75g/km.

We are pleased and proud to be ULEZ compliant and unlike many of our competitors do not charge extra to drive or deliver into the ULEZ.

We are providing our clients with CO² reports for their own environmental records and policies.

We are encouraging all our owner drivers to make the switch and work within our policy.

Providing all staff with the necessary training and resources to reduce our office waste.

Fine tuning our booking and despatch software to minimise dead mileage.

Encouraging our customers and suppliers to embrace our environment policy.
